The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really happening.
